My version of a Spitfire PR Mk XIX PS915 of the THUM (Temperature and Humidity Monitoring) Flight from RAF Woodvale in the late 1950’s. This aircraft (the real one!) went on to form the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight with two other Mk XIX’s.
Above, a link to a picture of PS915 looking very tatty indeed. The picture looks like it was taken during a very cold winter at Speke airport (1953?). Note that in this picture she does not appear to have a black anti-glare panel on her upper nose.
My version used kit roundels with home made serial numbers.
