I left it with the regiment when I left so I have few photographs of it. It was made from a man-made fabric called &#8216;silkessence&#8217;. The colour was a bit bright and the paint did not adhere well. This flag, with a George Cross canton and one mullet was the 1st captain&#8217;s flag.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n\n\n<p>This flag was constructed from single ply of fabric throughout. That is to say, the white and red of the canton are single thickness and once constructed was then&nbsp;&#8216;let in&#8217; to an open square left in the tawny field.
